Stripping For Pride

Located on Church Street, in Toronto’s gay village, Cafe California isn’t just a restaurant. It IS the gay village. For 25 years, the restaurant hasn’t just served delicious meals, it’s a vibrant hub for locals and visitors from all over the world. Its owners, Vince and Leticia, have become icons of the gay community, generously giving back to the neighbourhood in every possible way.

Every year, for nearly a decade, Cafe California is host to an amazing underwear fashion show, sponsored by many, including Hudson’s Bay flagship store, on Queen Street. The underwear show goes on inside the Cafe, for the diners. As well, the enthusiastic models perform for the large crowds that gather outside.

If you’re coming to Toronto, for Pride, or any time, please visit this wonderful restaurant. Chances are, you’ll have the time of your life.

I took all these pictures with the Nikon D3200 and zoom lens.
